It´s About Time consists of simple concepts that will aid in developing and strengthening your inner clock.

By teaching actual beat placement and subdivisions, this book will help you understand concepts such as playing behind the beat, in the middle of the beat, and on top of the beat. Also included are exercises designed to help you control and better compose drum fills within a given musical framework.

The Playing the Space chapter can be used for trading twos, four, eights, and solos in any style, and challenges you to use your imagination for creating fills and variations while adhering to strict timekeeping and grooving principles.

The two CDs included with the book feature many recorded demonstrations, each followed by a corresponding play-along track so you can practice applying the concepts and techniques.
